Haiku Aina Permeculture Intiative

(HAPI) A non-profit educational and sustainability resource center. Located in a beautiful gulch of Maui's Haiku area. We have been intrinsically involved in the installation and management of the various planting zones on this featured 14acre land (Aina). Through HAPI initiatives, we have worked with the USDA's, Natural Resources Conservation Service(NRCS), the Boys and Girls clubs of Hawaii, the Girl Scouts, and InkaFloresta (Brazil). We honed our coffee and fruit tree management skills at HAPI as well as, producing market vegetables. The highlight of our work at HAPI has been the creation of diverse production based agro-forests and native forests where invasive species once dominated the landscape.
