Establishing a productive Food System

Is the directive on this unique land, in one of the most beautiful areas of Maui. Working with our friend, Tim Page (the land manager and Living Soil Solutions owner), a total of 4 acres are being developed as Mango, Avocado, Coconut, and Citrus orchards. We're utilizing techniques to produce top soil and improve soil health in this extremely rocky environment. We're also developing systems that have low water dependency and can be irrigated with brackish ground water. Having implemented successional agroforestry methods, we've produced market crops like bananas, basil, and papaya in the orchard's first year. We're also loving the biomass production we're seeing onsite, allowing us to expand plantings and grow fertility from within the system.
